Firefighter II Online
Date: October 14 – December 2, 2018
Location: The classroom portion of the course will be conducted on the IFSTA Resource One Online Training website. The hands-on portion will be conducted at the NDFA office at 1502 Grumman Lane, Bismarck, ND 58504.
Hands-On Weekends: November 3 – 4, 2018; December 1-2, 2018. Times: 8:00 – 5:00 (or when complete)
Pre-requisites: Must be a member of a North Dakota based Emergency Services organization in good standing. Each participant must be certified at the Firefighter I level.
Course Description: This is an eight (8) week, cognitive, progressive, firefighting program. This course is designed to promote knowledge and skills to achieve NFPA 1001 Firefighter II qualifications. Students are required to complete all assignments.
Course Objectives: At the end of this course the candidate will be prepared to meet the cognitive written and hands-on manipulative test requirements set forth by NFPA 1001 2013 Edition and North Dakota Firefighters Association Certification System for the Firefighter II Standard. Further course objectives are outlined in the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) Essentials of Fire Fighting and Fire Department Operations. Students will test for certification on the last day of the course.
