2014 BNSF North Dakota TRANSCAER® Training Tour

POST Board and EMS CEU's have been approved for this training

The TRANSCAER Training Tour partnering with Short Line Railroads has been finalized and registration is open on the NDFA website to sign up for the TRANSCAER Petroleum Crude Oil Training.  These seminars are provided together with the American Chemistry Council (CHEMTREC) and  Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. 

The scope of work for the TRANSCAER training includes the following instruction:

  • Chemical and physical characteristics of petroleum crude oil
  • Transportation of petroleum crude oil
  • Leak mitigation techniques
  • Petroleum crude oil emergencies
  • Emergency Response Guide instruction; including isolation and downwind protective actions
  • Overview and activation of response network

Please note the locations, times and dates for the training in your particular area.  There will be no cost to the departments to attend this important training.  A certificate for this training will be given to each participant.  A press release will be sent out state-wide and we encourage all first-responders, law enforcement, emergency managers, safety managers, local emergency planning groups, public safety representatives, and other responders to attend this important Petroleum Crude Oil Training.  As we move closer to these dates; reminders and any additional updated information will be sent out.

North Dakota Firefighter's Association

  • Farm/Grain Bin Extrication
  • Essentials of Extrication
  • Response to Hybrid Vehicle Incidents
