NDFA President

Brent Weber, Minot Fire Dept.
Brent Weber is currently a career firefighter with the City of Minot. Also, he is an Assistant Chief with the Minot Rural Fire Department. He is state certified FFII, NREMT-B certified and a Hazmat Tech.

NDFA 1st Vice-President

Greg Gibson, Edgeley Fire Dept.
Greg Gibson currently represents the NDFA as the 1st Vice President and is a Certified FFII under the 2008 standard; a Captain with the Edgeley Fire & Rescue, NDFA Instructor I, State Fire School Instructor
and has been in the fire service for eleven years. Greg has been a member of the NDFA Certification Advisory Committee since 2008, and also serves as Vice President
of the North Dakota Fire Prevention Association.

NDFA 2nd Vice-President

Aaron Lande, Mayville Fire Dept.
Aaron Lande is the Assistant Chief and Training Officer for Mayville Fire & Rescue. He serves as a fire prevention instructor and coordinator for the local community. He also serves as a firefighter for Hillsboro Fire and Rescue and is a State Fire School Instructor. Aaron is certified in Auto Extrication, Hazmat Operations and is an EMS First Responder and has been active in the fire service for 11 years. Aaron spent 8 years active duty in the United States Air force and 3 years in the Air Force Reserves.

NDFA Secretary/Treasurer

Allan Klein, Bismarck Rural Fire Dept.
Allan Klein has been Secretary/Treasurer of the NDFA since 1997. He served as NDFA President in 1985. He is Certified FF II, 2008 Standard, State Certification Tester, Fire Instructor I & II. Allan is the alternate director to the National Volunteer Fire Council for the State of North Dakota. He started his fire career as a volunteer on the McClusky Fire Department in 1976, joined the Mandan Rural Fire Department in 1997 and then became the first career Chief of the Bismarck Rural Fire Department in 2005, a position he still holds.

NDFA NW Trustee

John Swedlund, Velva Fire Dept.
John Swedlund has been a member of the Velva Fire Department for 36 years. John has served as treasurer, Assistant Chief, Chief, and Training Officer for the department. In 1996 after serving as 2nd Vice President and 1st Vice President John was elected as President of NDFA. John is currently in his second term as NW Trustee.

Dave Johnson, Larimore Fire Dept.
Dave Johnson has served as NDFA Northeast Region Trustee since 2002.
He has over 30 years of service with the Larimore Fire Department, currently as an engineer. He is NDFA certified, a 2008 standard instructor/tester,
First Responder Auto extrication instructor with the Larimore Ambulance Rescue Squad.

Kyle Shockley, Dwight Fire Dept.
Kyle Shockley has been the NDFA SE Trustee since June 2011. He is Currently Fire Chief with the Dwight Fire Protection District. He is Certified FFII 2004 standard. |
NDFA SW Trustee

Jonathan Hildremyer, Bismarck Fire Dept.
Jonathan Hildremyr, started in the fire service while in Junior High School in the Fire Explorer Scouts with the Richland Fire Department, Richland WA. In 1999 Jon started with the Larimore Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a Captain and Training Officer. While in Larimore Jon also served on the Larimore Ambulance & Rescue Squads and spent five years as a Patrolman for the Larimore Police Department. In 2005 Jon accepted a position as a Firefighter with the Bismarck Fire Department and now lives in Bismarck with his wife Mindy and daughters McKenzie and Addyson. Jon also spent nine years in ND National Guard, five years in the Army and the last four in the Air Guard as a Firefighter. Jon is certified under IFSTA as FFI & II, and Instructor I; IFSAC FFI & II, Haz-Mat Ops, ARFF, Driver Operator Pumper/Tanker/ARFF. He is also Auto Extrication and NREMT-B certified, and a certified Live Burn Instructor. Jon is a Certification Tester for the NDFA and has served as the South West Regional Trustee since 2010.

NDFA Executive Director

Renee Loh
Renee Loh serves as the Executive Director of the North Dakota Firefighter’s Association and as the State Director for the National Volunteer Fire Council. As Executive Director, Renee contributes many articles to different fire service publications, attends training events, and works to bring the needs of the fire departments to different resources. Renee was a graduate of the University of Mary and has taken other fields of study during her career. Renee is a Board Member of the Former Governor’s Mansion, Bismarck Lion’s Club and assists with other volunteer needs. As Executive Director, the most important focus has been to obtain the most comprehensive and instructive training for the North Dakota firefighters following National Standards so that Everyone Goes Home.

NDFA Training Director

Robert Knuth, Minot Rural Fire Dept.
Rob Knuth has been in the Fire Service since 2001. He is currently an Assistant Chief with the Minot Rural Fire Department. Rob spent 21 years in the United State Air Force. While on active duty he received his Bachelors degree from the University of Southern Illinois in Work Force Education and Training. He is currently the Training Director for the North Dakota Firefighter's Association. He is a Certified FFII, 2008 Standard, State Certification Tester, State Auto Extrication Instructor, and Fire Instructor I.

NDFA Office Assistant

Julie Geltel
Julie Geltel has been an Office Assistant with the North Dakota Firefighter’s Association since 1999. As an honorary member of the Bismarck Rural Fire Department, Julie attends trainings and events to further her knowledge of the Fire Service. In March of 2011 as a testament to her dedication she successfully passed the test and earned her State Certification as a Firefighter I, under the 2008 standard.
